Website Plan Assignment
In your Website Plan document, ensure that you have filled out each section that has been covered. This will include:
• Your vision
• Your goals
• Your strategic objectives
• Your Plan
Your plan will have many sub-sections including your:
Chosen domain or subdomain and whether it’s available at Godaddy
The pages and sub-pages you chose
Testimonials you’ve received
What metrics you use will measure success
Your customer profile and the steps you took to establish that
For each section, you will have to justify your decisions—that is, why did you make the choices you made? You’ll have to show evidence of your research.
Show how at least one element of your strategy and ultimate strategic objectives are going to be incorporated on each page. Also include how much time you took on each task. It doesn’t have to be exact, but it will give your teacher an idea of the effort necessary to complete this challenge.
Make this a plan you can be proud of. Once you’re finished, submit it to your teacher and when you’ve received your feedback, you’ll be able to start building your website—and you’ll see that the hard work is behind you.
Note to all students: Make sure you review your planning document in full before finishing and submitting this assignment.
Part 10: Section Assignment
8. The names of three people you will go to for constructive criticism
9. The content for each of those pages—that means all the text and images you’ll use on the pages.
That part will take you the most time. Imagine this scenario: you want to hand a document to a web developer and say, "Build me the site." You MUST include all the text and images you want to use. It's not the job of the developer to make it up for you. The good news is, once you’ve decided upon the content, your website construction is mostly cut and paste because you’ve done all the hard work.
