Part 7: Analytics
As we mentioned at the start of this section, Google Analytics is the industry standard for measuring such important metrics such as the number of visitors to your site, the bounce rate, the time on page. If you don’t have analytics installed on your site, then it shows that you aren’t serious about Internet Marketing.
Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ and Create an Account. You will need a Gmail account. If you don’t have a Gmail account, sign up right away. If you get stuck signing up for a Google Analytics account, go to YouTube and do a search for “how to sign up for Google analytics”. You will see plenty of tutorial videos.
Specifically, go directly to this link for a video that is about 4 minutes long.
(Optional) You can also watch the 27 minute video tutorial on Google Analytics at this link where Scott Bradley shows you more insight into Google Analytics and how to use it.
If you are still stuck after watching the videos, ask your teacher. Be prepared to share your screen.
